Model Geek, these two will be in different markings. One is going to be “MiG Mad Marine” an Ace’s plane for an “Aircraft of the Aces” Group Build on another Forum, and the other will be in the markings of the Japanese Air Self Defense Force. I’m only building the two side by side because they are so similar, and I might as well get them both built.
I’ll try to get pics up later.

Well i’ve dragged out the Arado from the shelf of doom and even managed to get the engines and wings done…Will post pics soon, have just moved house and everything is out of place…

I haven’t done much on the Airacomet lately. I’ve glued the wings together but that is of no real interest. [;)] I decided to busy up the forward gear bay a little with some plastic scraps and a little wire. It was rather dull before.
The aluminum paint gave it a… well… blah appearance but hopefully a dark wash will help with that.
Now I can proceed with gluing the forwrad half of the fuselage together. Yay! [:D]

Hey guys I’m new here and I was wondering if could join with a Amodel 1/72 MiG-9 that I just picked up. This thing is pretty rough but hopefully my limited modeling skills will be able make a decent model.

I have a RoG 1:72 Me262A-1a in my stash that looks tiny but sweet and today i just picked up a 1:72 Horten Go229 flying wing from the same manufacturer but i don’t see it on the list on page 1?
Got my mind set on the Go229 but if it is not eligible i would do the schwalbe.

The Horten brothers were really ahead of thier time when they developed the GO 229. There was a very interesting TV program on the National Geographic channel here in the states. I think it was called Hitler’s stealth fighter. Northup Grumman built a full size replica and tested it’s radar signature. There is a nice article at nationalgeographicchannel.com

Kermit, I heve that kit as well its a great kit if a bit fiddly in the cockpit area, I haven’t finished mine yet and I’ve only seen the older Red 13 scheme done so I’m excited to see how it turns out.
Model Geek, I saw that program as well. Very interesting story, IIRC they were able to show that had it become operational it would’ve been very difficult to intercept because of the combination of speed and reduced radar signature. It would’ve cut the British response time by more than half!

As you can see ive started to remove some of the pieces to clean them up, there is quite a bit of flash. Exterior detail is very good and nicely done. The cockpit leaves something to be desired though.

There are options for a Chinese plane in 1958 and a Soviet one stationed at Vostok 1950. I’m going for the Soviet plane. The Directions are decidedly vague on what colors to use, but my best guess is the exterior is Light Ghost grey or something very close ill use that and see how it goes.

Hawkeye I don’t see any of the pics mate. Once you post the pic link you have to keep the pics in photobucket, otherwise the link has nothing to refer to. If you haven’t taken them out might be something else wrong.
I checked my photobucket everything seems to be ok there, I re-posted them to see if that helps. They were working when I originally posted them and they seem to be working now. Is there a bandwidth limit on them?
