Early Ambutank

Here’s something that will warm dear old Robert if he’s still visiting time to time…

This is a Israeli Sherman Ambutank, used in the late '60s and early '70s. The concept was good enough that a ‘late’ Ambutank was built upon newer Shermans (M51).

This is based upon Italeri/ESCI 1/72 Sherman kit. The engine has been relocated at the centre of the hull, so exit the turret and here comes a new plate with exhaust pipes and vents (partially done here). The Ambulance compartment is at the back under a metal contraption that is really hard to build [B)] (also partially done here!).
