I saw the die-cast eagle in a shop this week-end, it looks great.
I have the old Airfix/MPC models of the Eagle and the Hawk Mk IX, they need a bit of work to make them accurate.
I’ve also got the Die-cast models made by Dinky, mid to late 1970’s
I wanted a realy good Eagle model, so I spent 3 years, scratch building my own 1/48 scale Eagle - it’s about 24ins (60cm) long, I didn’t have the cash (£300) to spend on the Comet minatures model thats about the same size.

Nearly got myself a copy of the Aoshima Eagle over the weekend, my LHS had a 30% offf sale on EVERYTHING in the shop.
What I saw looked nice, but I decided on adding a few more tools and equipment to the pile of tools I already got.
I’m very pleased with it.

Usually I can get the same discounts as you. But my LHS will be closing for renovations by the end of ther week and need to reduce stock drastically as they will go from 2 floors to 1floor.
Upstairs will be used for their new english international mail ordering system.
I decided to add a 2nd compressor, a 4th AB and AB accessories rather than getting the Eagle Transporter.
I need to give it a bit of a dusting off, and I’ll get some fresh pics ASAP [:)]
As requested, here are a couple of pictures of my 1/48 Eagle, you’ll have to excuse the dust on top of the shelf, we recently moved house and I’m trying to find space for all my models - where ever I can find any.
I did a basic paint job on it, but it requires a good clean up and, now that I have a decent air brush, I can finish the job off properly. [:D]
Note the .308 rifle round for scale.
