Hey all. I’m hoping to get some info on the paints needed on some interior and exterior parts on an Tamiya F-15A Eagle I picked up on eBay. The kit is fine but it is exposing one of my bigger modeling flaws: I have trouble reading instructions in Japanese. Having mainly dealt with Navy/Marine Corp and WWII aircraft I’m unsure of some of the colors the few reference photos indicate. It appears that the tub behind the cockpit is a metallic blue/green similar to that of WWII japanese aircraft. Is there a name or FS# for that color? Also, is the exterior scheme the same dark ghost on light ghost gray scheme or is it of a different hue? Thanks.
Tamiya color # for Metalic Blue is X13 which can be subsituted with Testors Silver Metalic Blue.
Paint the cockpit tub light ghost gray and add a few drops of blue to get the blue/gray effect. Mix paint until it matches photos.
