Happened to run across 1/48 scale of the EA-18G being made by Academy, reading some of the information it seems to be a repo from the Italeri kit. is this an actual new model, or just a repackage? Next question I guess would be if anyone has built this particular model and what were their thoughts.
It’s the newer release from Italeri repackaged. The newer release contains all the lumps and bumps to make a relatively accurate Growler. I’ve built the old release, and it was okay, but Hasegawa would be much more detailed (and much more expensive). You might be able to take the parts from the Academy kit and graft them onto the Revell F kit. I’m not sure if it has the ACS cockpit or not, but you can pick one up from Steel Beach.
