E-Z Mask VS. Fast Frames

Hi,

Is there a differance between E-Z Masks and Fast frames? Is one better, or easier to use than the other?

I’ve never had much success using any of those commercial masking devices. They never actually conform to the canopy glass spaces, particularly if it’s a complex canopy, and I find them a waste of time. I simply cut a length of good modeling masking tape into lengths about a millimeter or two wide and first mask the horizontal parts, then the vertical ones. Takes awhile, but if you’re careful to press the tape down firmly everywhere that paint might sneak under it, you can paint canopy frames of extreme narrowness. Dunno if you need 'em, but I use a pair of cheap drugstore reading glasses while doing the masking, to get an extreme closeup look at what I’m doing.
