duplicating MY bike, need tips.

So i bought a 1/12 scale of my bike, a kawasaki zr400c4, a zypher, the plan is to completely recreate my own bike, to every detail. i laid it down and im trying to figure out how to recreate the scrapes on the engine cover. any ideas?

Make sure you paint natural metal color first . Then the bikes final color. While the paint is still wet scratch it in the areas that you want to show damage. On the engine cover try using two different shades of silver. Then wash the scratches with a heavy wash of black . You may want to follow that with a light wash of dull copper. depending on the metal content on the bike.

PS WElcome to the forums ! Please post pictures of your builds. We love pictures!!!
