Alright, I have read all the tips on indies I could find, has anyone successfully gotten the Duckbill indies in without them being crooked as all hell? I got four links put together last night in a test run and I was flustered just after them! doesn’t seem like the duckbills want to attach all the way onto the pad either… and I sand em first.
I’d hit Grandpa’s special sauce to loosen up but I think it’ll just make it worse.

You’re not saying what brand they are but if you make yourself a jig to put the indies together then the duckbills should be no problem.Every so often you may find that you need to remove a locator pin to avoid them wanting to turn on you but it’s not very often.

what did you use for mud?
Bah, get some friuls. LOL. I just got my first set. Very nice, I am impressed. Downside is they are rather soft, and fragile. Very easy to break if not careful. I think plastic can handle a bit more abuse.
