Anyone out there who nows if I am allowed to bring some kits and the necessary stash into Dubai?

I am done in Czech and will move out to UAE later this week.

Now that’s what I call a question! [(-D] I guess it would depend on the size of the stash and whether or not you’d have to do some explaining to the Customs authorities in Dubai regarding importation! Since they are for personal use and are personal property, you should be fine I would think…just as long as it doesn’t take a shipping container to bring them in. [;)]

Hey Svenne, haven’t seen you around the forums lately. Glad to see your back![8D] By the way I finally finished that Miniart SU-76M build just a few days ago, the pics are in the WIP thread. Anyways back to your question, countries usually ban foreign food/animals from being transported into a country. Never heard of a country not allowing model kits in, but then again you should check the regulations if possible.

I don’t believe you would have any problems bringing stuff like that in. As for the shipping containers I’ve been through there many times and I think some of the people passing through should have had used them!

My understanding of the term “stash” was that is was the kits…therefore, if you imported kits, plus “2.5kg of stash” I’m scared to ask…[(-D]…(in Canada, there’s another meaning for that term that I warn my kids to stay away from)…lol…good luck with your new location Svenne!
