I have read on this form where guys have used dry transfers on clear decal sheet and have applied them to the model. What do you seal the decal with before attempting to transfer to the model and will it hold up to a solvaset?

You do not need to seal it with anything- they are waterproof. Not solvent proof, however. If you do want to use solvent, you may need to seal it with a clear coat. However, unless you REALLY need to use solvent, they do stand up to setting solution. Try without solvent. Put a good gloss coat on matt paint and normally, unless the surface is very curved, or a compound curve, you shouldn’t need solvent.

I used dry transfer on my UFO:

The only thing I did was spray dullcote over them as a seal before I weathered it. No probs for me.
