Finally got some pictures of my Zvezda Dreadnought, with the Pontos detailing set. Hard to take pictures- I didn’t have a backdrop large enough!
I displayed it with the torpedo nets deployed, but they did not photograph very well.
Excellent, Don, I like this one a lot. The mooring buoy is a very nice touch.

Those nets ‘deployed’ are something you rarly see. Nice job. Sorta ‘star trekish’ “Shields UP”! 
Beautiful work there, Don. “Deploying” the nets must have been an adventure in patience and precision, but it’s a great effect.
They come with the Pontos set, as well as brass booms to replace the kit’s styrene booms.
And to someone else’s questions, the rigging of the nets was not nearly as bad as I had been expecting. I used thin wire in the ends of the booms, since I couldn’t get the Pontos PE hinges to fit right, and I thought gluing wire into the boom and the hull would make a stronger connection. Plus, it allowed a bit of bending to exactly line up the end of the boom with the hole in the net. Also, I used strong monofilament line to rig the boom rigging, which I consider somewhat functional, since the nets are stainless steel, not brass, and a bit heavy. So far I have not had any sag.
Saving all pics for now till I figure which ones I am going to submit to FSM for an article. When that gets sorted out, may post some of the ones I don’t send them.
Nice work! The nets and booms look a bit ‘fragile’. Were they deployed only when the ship was at anchor, or could they be used when she was under way?

Nice work, Don! I’ll be starting my own Dreadnought with the new year. Got the same detail set but I’m planning to keep the torp nets stowed. How did you find the Pontos decking?

I just purchased the Trumpeter Kit of the HMS Dreadnaught…do you know how it may stack up against the Zvezda Dreadnought?
