Draken photos anyone?

Hi there everybody,

I just came back from our trip to the museum of the Austrian Air Force in Zeltweg/Styria.

We drove down there and had one hell of a tour. One of our group is a warrant officer in the Austrian Armed Forces and he managed that we had a very sopecial tour and and even better tour guide. His nam,e was Hubert Strimitzer, former jet pilot in the Austrian Air Force with no less than 11.000 hrs of flight time and 1.000 hrs of them on the Draken. Former aerobatic team pilot of the Karo As and the Silverbirds. No matter which aircraft related question we came up with, he knew the answer, that’s what I call competence!

I will post part I of this travelreport right now and part II in a few days. There are several detail pictures of the Draken as well. So if you are interested here is the link for the first part:

Have fun and come back for more if you like

Cool pictures, thanks for posting them. Makes me what to build that new Hasegawa kit with the Austrian flag colors.

No problem, actually it was quite some fun for me to take all these pictures.

If you are interested in some detail pictures of a Draken, I will soon post part II of this travelreport and included in this are severeal photos of the special Draken at this museum where most of the skin is removed. So if you give me a few more days I will certainly post them.

Thanks a lot in advance and I hope ypou like these photos as well.

Sure, I would love to see more pictures.

BTW, you guys have a great website and thanks for posting in English for those of us who don’t speak German. I actually tried to learn a bit of German years ago when I went to Austria for my honeymoon. Unfortunately, I only learned how to ask questions and not how to interpret the answers. lol.
