I have dug out my Panzer iV E 3in1 from the stash for the Ostfront GB, and started to look for reference material.
So far I have found very little apart from the early, very positive, reviews but what is worse;
Quite a few very negative postings.
Apparently the main issue is with the drive wheel housings being positioned to low and oversized return rollers.
Interestingly the Instructions depict the drive wheel housing being in the right position.
6264 has been replaced with new releases that address the issue and is not marketed any longer so no reason for a riot, just curious if anyone has seen a fix (and with fix I do not mean Dragons # 6301)?
No real way around it since it deals with the hull…short of replacing the hull and/or manually correcting it via scratch-building, you don’t really have much in the way of options.
I can replace the return rollers with a smaller size diameter, that is going to fix part of the visual problem.
I am going to give surgery a miss, to risky at my skill level [:O]
If you replace the rollers with smaller ones ,you haven’t fixed the original problem, just added another. I say give the surgery a try. The Pz III has flat plates with simple angles, and the fix isn’t all that complicated as it first seems.

I agree that the kit angles ( it is a Pz IV ) are very simple, but the drive wheel housing rounded curve is very noticable where the bottom plate meets the lower front plate.
Here is a possible fix that seems simple enough I am going to try;
Reduce or replace the kit supplied return rollers with parts that are a match to scale, they are out of scale and have been sigificantly reduced in the later kits, so its not adding but fixing a problem (Red to Blue).
Rotate the housing uppwards about 1 mm, this will require sanding down some of the hull detail.
Sand away what is left in limbo at 6 a clock and fill what needs to be filled at 12 a clock.

Should be a 70% fix.
