I’m honestly excited about this one. I’ve always wanted to build one for some weird reason. Yeah they weren’t very good and never used in combat outside of testing but something about them is really cool.

Wow! Finally something different (albeit still German!). [:D] I don’t think this has ever been done in plastic, only in resin. Armo makes one of these in resin but they run over $100 USD!! Guess what I’m spending my Xmas gift card on!!
Long overdue! At least it is not a paper panzer. Like the Steuer Emil, it did see some limited service. I do like those multi turreted interwar designs.
I think you’re right, they did send some there, but I’m unsure whether they saw combat, probably just rear-guard stuff after they occupied the country.
BTW, nice seeing Jean and Ernest back. Where have you guys been?
Tom Cockle, over on Missing Lynx, mentions that this is, indeed the mild steel prototype which never saw combat. However, the actual production Pz VI is a future release. Those saw action in Norway. I guess it’s up to the consumer to choose wisely – which variant do they want to build.
O, nice, and this is one German kit that surely no one can complain about. If that is the case that they are also bringing out a production vehicle, i think i will wait for that.
The VK 45 looks rather nice as well.

I’m trying to change that though. Still getting new kits and building, and still need a kick in the behind to start painting [:D] I might post a few pics in the next few days if I have time.
Erik stop killing me with such news, all I can say is WOW, Ive always wanted one but it was only available as a resin kit for so long and the price was a bit much.
Thanks for the heads up I will be looking for another weird vehicle and this could be it.

I’m pretty sure one of the mild steel prototypes saw combat in Norway after one of the armored versions was destroyed after getting stuck in a swamp. Does anyone know how to tell the difference between the mild steel and armored versions?

Hey Eric, like Jean I’ve been just too busy this past year to hang around the forums much. I jump in every now and then, but recently I’ve had some spare time so I’ve been at the bench working on a T-26T for the “Ostfront GB”. I’ll slowly be getting back into the forums once I get the a build or two under my belt! Thanks for noticing our absences!
Back to the Neubaufarhzeuge…I may have read something on Missing Linx that said that the mild steel version had different weld/rivet patterns??
If they are going to also release the main armored version, then that’s the one I would prefer to have as well. There’s something about the whole multi-turret/landship designs that appeal to me.
