That nightfighter version of the Me 262 looks great, the radar antenna, twin cockpit, and the camouflage combine to give it an agressive look to it.

About two months ago I was in a hobby shop and spotted a DML Me 262 recon version and bought it, a few days later when I had some free time I opened the box to look over the kits contents and found it also has those vinyl tires, I hope there are resin replacement wheels available for the 1/48 scale Me 262 in the not too distant future.

They just keep getting more and more impressive. What amazes me is how much better they look after each photo. I guess I’m just noticing the amazing amount of detail that you put into it. You could make a living out of such staggering work. Thanks again for the pictures. They give me something to shoot for.

The camo is incredible. The things that “Stick Out” (literally) are all the antennae and other bristly parts on these night birds. If the intricacy of the camo pattern, cockpit, and gear wells didn’t impress us enough - all these fiddly things sticking out all over the place would certainly get your attention.
I bet those babies are a bear to handle.

ygmodeler - the problem is keeping the wings completely free of dust, since I’m using Alcad. They’ve been repainted, but I’m still not satisfied. I won’t rush it just to have it done, I’ll wait and redo it until it’s the way I want it. In the past, I’ve let things go when I wasn’t satisfied, and regretted doing so. Too much time has been invested to settle for a second-rate NMF.
matrixone - Cutting Edge makes some, but they’re expensive. Since I need six sets, it’s a little pricey. The nosewheel is the same as one of the late model Bf 109s. I can’t remember which, but the difference is in the number of bolts.
mpartric - when I get some cash flow, I’ll be starting a website and taking consignment builds. I get by on a disability (the pay ain’t great), so I need to get a couple things going first so I can start the website.
Bossman - they are VERY difficult to move. Both Me 262s have areas to avoid when lifting them. Placing two fingers under the tail and holding the fuselage forward of the cockpit is the only way.

ygmodeler - it’s difficult to keep the static charge off such large pieces of plastic. Now that the warmer months are here in New England, I can open the windows and hopefully have less dust around.
