What is the difference between this and all the other shermans out their. I just dont know what DV means. THanks.
DV= direct vision, those armored flaps in front of the driver and co drivers hoods.
DV=Direct Vision
If you look at the glacis plate right below the driver’s and radio operator’s hatch you will see vision ports. Instead of a periscope, there was a block of glass that allowed a direct line of sight. Hence, direct vision.
Personally, I am still learning the differences between the Shermans.
I hope this helps.
It is nice to see more allied armor being released.
Cheers
Dave
Hmmm, may have to add ths to the stash and build it next to the DML M4A1 DV I have.

I’m inching a little closer to picking up a Sherman. My Panzers are lonely. [;)]
now it makes sense. Thanks for explaining the acronym.
I already have a DML M4 with direct vision glacious in my stash. Still waiting for something “NEW” .
Greatmodels has 11 different American Shermans, M and T 26, M2A1, M4 mortar carrier, M55 gun trailer, M16 AA halftrack, M3 GMC, T19 HMC, and the M2 w/ 37mm. That covers the popular American AFV subjects I think. Anything that Dragon doesn’t have can easily be purchased from another company.
The only “new” AFVs I see Dragon releasing would be a Priest and a M10. They’ve got the chassis and even the howitzer for the priest. I don’t think it’s very cost effective for them to develop a new American chassis when it seems to me that if it’s not a Sherman it won’t sell.
