Here is a small project I have been doing over the past few days in preperation for the 1/16th T-34 Build Group. It is Dragon’s Late Brummbar and it is an average kit at best. The fit on the rear of the hull is horrible and it took a nice warm bath in boiling water to straighten out the hull. It is Zimmied with Tamiya’s Polyester Putty and Tamiyas #.07 Zim tool. The Zim went on ok and I tried to make it a bit sloppy on the front as this was common on these vehicles. There are a few missed spots at the moment, but I will get to that as the Main fighting compartment is not glued in place to allow the construction of the main gun. It is tough Zimming a Pz IV Variant as there is very little surface area and many tight spots on the substructure and lower hull. Of course with the brummbar, it gives a perfect oppurtunity to use Zim as there were not many that did not have it. I will be detailing with Aber’s awesome PE set as well as using Tamiya’s tools and MK SK-22 Pz IV late tracks. Any comments or criticisms are appreciated…
Thanks guys, I love Zim projects. I have been wanting to do a Brummbar for quite some time and this downtime between Build Groups was a perfect opputunity to get some work done on it. Appreciate the comments.

I have said it before fightnjoe, if anyone wants to have a kit Zimmed, I have no problems doing it for you or anyone else who wants it. That goes for making some premade Zim on .05 plastic sheet and shipping it off…free of charge of course. It is my pleasure and will keep up the skill. Moses. I know you used the Tamiya zimmerit tool to accomplish your results on your Brummbar as stated in your brief on this thread! It seems that you have written on this subject of zimm coating before if I’m right. Could you reference any past procedures you have shared with us on this techinque? I’m going to be doing my first attempt at zimming on a future group build and would really like to have your tips on doing it. Thanks for anything you can share. semper fi, mike
