Dragon Jagdtiger annoyance

I just got one today, even though the paint instructions and the box art show the side fender extensions, the model doesn’t have any. Most pics I found have some of them left on. I found that rather annoying. I guess I have to buy them after market

didnt they put the thin plasticard bits in the box like on the panthers?
edit
i misread it and was thinking of the jagdpanther?

but the funny thing about the Dragon Jagdtiger is, the Porche version comes with the skirts and the Revel kit (the same as the Dragon henshell) comes with the side skirts[B)]

Sorry to hear that Jwest. Kinda like my Dragon Panther D. Box art shows the fender extensions but the kit did not include them.

Oh well, turned out like the box art is more accurate than the kit itself.

I have heard of the Henschell version not offering them in their kit, I wonder why? Does the Porshe version come with them?

These are a little different then the Panther ones. These go out away from the hull and then bend down. There are six oer side (at least there is on my Tamiya King Tiger. I would think it would be similiar) Tamiya has a solid piece for each side of their King Tiger that glues right on. Dragon’s instructions don’t show them in the assembly list or parts breakdown, but they show them on the painting instructions. I looked at greatmodels and only saw two manufactures, Aber and Royal, who even make them and they both were out of stock

I don’t know about the Porsche version.

Unless you are building a factory-fresh vehicle, I wouldn’t worry about them too much. Sure, it is common to have most or all of the fender pieces attached, but of the hundreds of photos of Jagdtigers I have, more often than not they are missing them completely.

If I can find some after market, I planned on just having a couple just to give it character. Besides Greatmodels and Squadron, what are some good online stores for photo etch?

Most Jagdtiger pix I have found don’t have the side skirts ,it is true that dragon kit does not come with them for some reason , personally it did mine without and I think it looks great , kinda like a hot rod with tires a bit too big . Airconnection has lots of PE stuff including the fenders you are looking for , and best of all they are most likely in stock , much unlike greatmodels which almost never has them in stock ( although they are still a very good company ).

That sucks… I have this kit but haven’t inspected it too hard. I suppost I will make a couple of sections from plastic sheet to hang on it. These were not just fender extensions… They were 5mm armor plate, kind of a fancy verison of the Panther design…

Good luck on working it out…

Thanks. I was just checking out their site. I may just go without
