I got one of thei new 3 in 1 kits (251 ausf c) but I cant find in the instructions how to assemble the indie track links. How do I do this? Thanks.
I can scan them and e-mail you if you want. Click on my n ame and e-mail me. By the way, the guy at the LHS tought me a neat trick with them. He showed me at the store (haven’t done it yet). He got a U shaped lenght of brass and put it on the table, with the open part of the U up. They he put two pieces of strip styrene, one on either side of the U. They were the same height as the U. You put the pieces, guidehorn down into the U’s channel and it keeps them straight
Found where it says how- the directions have too much info. Lookin at the pieces, the small end has two female areas and the wide end had two male pins. They fit together small end to big and the pad glues over top the joint
Thanks jason!!! Looking over the instructiions, I found them. Little tiny diagram buried underneath the gazillion step instructions.
I did basically the same thing with a couple of pieces of balsa. A wide piece (4") for the base, then glued two 3/4" pieces parallel to each other about 1/8’’ apart with one of the pieces even with one edge of the base. This creates the channel Jason was talking about. The good part is it leaves about a flat 2" wide section on the base that I use to build tracks with the guide horn facing up, using the 3/4" piece as a straight edge. Works great.
Beautiful tracks but wow, are they small! I’m going to try a set of Friul tracks on the DML Drilling model.
