Dragon Bergepanzer Tiger Review

Great, Jason. Thanks. It looks like the part (drivers hatch) that I screwed up on my Elefant is included as an unused part in this kit. How cool is that??

I talked to GM yesterday. They just got a big Dragon shipment in (over 100 Tiger 3in1 Initials), but they have not heard and have no idea when the Berge will be in. I’m beginning to wonder if Dragon has over extended themselves with all these new kits. Maybe they’re running out of plastic pellets!!

I have noticed that everytime DragonUSA posts a release date, it is premature by about 1 to 2 months. Gives me time to get another paycheck to sign over to them I guess

Ain’t that the truth!!

thanks for th link Jason. Loks like a better buy than the old Italeri kit.

This thing towing an Elefant would make for an awesome diorama. And I’d imagine that they got a lot of exercise – the Elefants were apparently hideously vulnerable to being disabled by mines because of the suspension layout.

You are right Larry, this would make an awesome dio

Looks like it’ll have quite a few leftover suspension parts too. Considering it’s a recovery vehicle, the leftovers will make good fodder for a recovery scene or to "fill out’ the model somewhat.

Guess I can get rid of the Jaguar conversion set now…

Thanks for the link, Jason. So many kits to buy and build, so little time and money.

I bet Akinut wished he had waited to buy one rather then trying to scratch build one for the Group Build. LOL

I would have like to start with the Dragon, buy I have seen a lot of things wrong with it that would have to be corrected. My resin is a PIA getting it to fit and then be the correct thickness. But I am taking my time and it has been a long time since I built anything.

I have also had a lot of fun researching the vehicles. And I can hardly wait to get my copy of the History of the Schwere Panzerjager Abeitlung 654 and I haven’t finished the 653rd’s history. They went to Berlin with two - four Ferdys.
