Dragon 1/35 Torsion Bar Suspension Alignment

Hey,
Everyone

I just started work on Dragon’s 1/35 10.5cm Sturmhaubitz 42 Ausf. G and this is the first time I am dealing with the torsion bar type suspension Dragon uses. (Of course, torsion bars on M1A1 And A2 tanks are no strange to me. I wish they were! LOL.)

So here is my question: Does anyone have any tricks on how to get this suspension to line up right?

I would really like to avoid floating road wheels.

Thanks in advance…

Scott

Glue all the torsion bars in place with slow setting liquid cement. Once they are all on, place the hull on a spacer, a couple of pencils or pens usually work well, anything that will give you the proper spacing off the ground. When it is on the spacer, push each roadwheel arm down firmly onto the table so all of them touch the ground. This should ensure all your roadwheels touch and none float. Let it dry on top of the spacer and you will be set.

Thanks, Gino! That’s a great idea. Any suggestion on which cement to use?

I prefer Tenex 7. Tamiya liquid is good too.

Ok. Thanks again. Gino.
