Dragon 1/35 scale German 5cm Pak 38 with Fallschirmjager

This is Dragon’s 5cm PAK with Fallschirmjagr crew. The gun itself was finished about 4 months ago, but the figures were finised just last week. This is my first completed piece in 1/35, and my second batch of completed figs. It was painted with Tamiya acrylics, and weathered using Cante pastels. The figures seem to be really glossy in this photo, but thats just the flash. Without further ado, here they are:

So, tell me what you think!

looking great
i like the way you added the whitewash

Nice work on the gun and the figures. Should look good on the shelf (or a dio).

Keep it up.

Again - Nice job Smith M,

Like Dwight said - it’s anice start on a dio. I like the aftermarket snow on the ground there. Is that Bounty or Brawny ?[:D][(-D][:D]

I am planning to put this in a diorama (once I finish my other one) Good to see someone noticed that aftermarket snow, but hey, bounty’s better than a blue countertop. (I’m a cheap bugger)[:D]

Very nice Smith M. Thanks

As I see from your other post, you’ve been busy. I like this piece. Nice subtle whitewash. Keep it up. Thanks for sharing.

Nice! Good work!

Matt,
Question: How did the kit go together? Any problems? The kit’s kinda dark, so it’s hard to see, but is there pretty good detail? It looks a lot like the Tamiya 75mm Pak 40.

BTW, good build! I’ve always liked winter schemes, but never had the guts to try one…

styrene, this was a very easy kit to put together. I only had 3 problems with the build. (one was my fault) The problem that was my fault was I misenterpereted the instructions, and assembeled the part that mounts the gun to the chasis too soon (if I did it right, the gun could traverse). The two problems I had with the kit are the sheild, which went on a little tight with the lower sheild, and the bit (I can’t recall the name) that sheilds the gunner from the breech, when installed, doesnt let the gunner fit properly (In the pictures with the figures installed, you can see it is quite badly bent out of place. If anyone else here has built this kit and knows how to correct this, please tell me.

Nice work again, Smith!

Nice build all around Matt. You’ve done a great job with the Pak !!
What did you think of the kit, I haven’t heard too much on it.

Thanks for sharing with us, it’s great to see some of your works.
