Doyusha model quality and flying with models

Hi everyone,

Just wondering how good the kits from Doyusha are? Specifically their 1/32 scale P-51D Mustang (Mfg. part number: 32 MU 3500).

Also, has anyone bought a new, un-assembled kit in Japan recently and flown home with it? I am thinking of doing this with a kit or two and I am worried that security will make me take the shrink wrap off of the box to inspect. I also want to take this as a “carry on” item. Yes, I know there are size restrictions and quantity limits for carry on items, but have any of you had any experience with this?
