Douglas B-18 Bolo

I made this B-18 Bolo from scratch in 1/72 scale.

I used the wings, modified to DC-2 wings, and landing gear of the C-47 Italeri kit. The other parts were made of wood (fuselage), plastics, and dental resin.

Brazilian air force used 2 B-18 for Atlantic patrols during the WW II. They were used from 1942 to 1946 when they were struck off charge.

Very nice!!! Interesting subject. Thanks for posting.

Very sharp. I love seeing custom craftsmanship

is that man on the jon in the 3rd pic?

What a nice model. OUtstanding.

LOL

I don’t think he is, I think it’s actually aft of the bulkhead at the end of that compartment, but not sure. Of course, I’m thinking of the DC-2 (and later, the DC-3), so I may be wrong.

Really nice. I know how difficult getting a consistent, rounded fuselage is. This almost makes me want to start that XB-19 I’ve been thinking about doing…

Sharp looking build. Dude is reading the news paper, has to be breaking one off.

That’s a killer build-looks awesome! Of course you know this means somebody will release one within 6 months.

Belo trabalho, e a informação é nova para mim, não sabia que a FAB usou este modelo.
