Double Trouble photos

Hello All,
Here are a couple of pictures of a “what if” a friend of mine did.
He’s Alan Horner from St. Marys and likes to model the unusual.

interesting concept. not very practical but cool nonetheless and well done.

Haha, thats cool. It looks good too. Next do a double Tiger

Hmmm…I see your friend has modeled the infamous experimental “Doppleflakpanzer Ausf. H Sg. 235”. Interesting. One of these unusual beasts actually did see combat in June 1944, until the two turret gunners inadvertantly blew each other to oblivion…such a tragic, unfortunate end to a promising design.

He has done a fine job in recreating a formidable, if slightly flawed, armored vehicle.

ouch!

Hey, like that is way kool!! - Calvin

I’m glad you explained the pict, I thought I had to much cough medicine!![8-]

Hmmm… The exaust would be located…ahh…umm?

Very interesting indeed. I guess there where two drivers sides??? I like it. [:D][tup][tup]

Cool!!

as for the exhaust if you look at the first picture closely it is located on the side where they normaly keep the spare road wheels

Well that reminds me of the double Mustang or Heinkel. Just wacky.

[:D] that is pretty cool ,i like it.[:D]

My kids thought it looked like a “push-me-pull-you”. I think it’s excellent !

Wow, excellent job, to your friend. I love seeing these “what if” builds.
And to think, I complain about painting a lot of roadwheels… [:p]

uproar,
Actually, according to my research, this is the Doppleflakpanzer Ausf. J Sg. 235 and not the H. You can tell by the number of roadwheels.
They did incorporate an electric over ride preventing the firing of the guns when the turrets were pointed at each other. It was a very limited production.
Grizzly,
Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Great job on the what if project.

I stand corrected, sir–I do believe the incident took place involving the prototype, which was an “Ausf H”. It is believed that a wayward tank crew took the vehicle out grouse hunting (wholly unauthorized, of course), and that the men got a bit overzealous in their pursuit. Someone was using the AC adapter plug as a cigar lighter, so the electrical override was, alas, not plugged in. A dedicated cable on future versions solved the problem. It is rumored that Schnapps was involved.

uproar,
You know, I did hear something about that accident, but until now thought it was just an unsubstantiated rumor[D)].
I am glad that you were able to set me straight as well[:D].
Honestly, you’re two posts had me rolling on the floor. You’re just as creative with words as he is with plastic. I thought they were uproar - iously funny [:-^][swg][:I]
