Dornier 24 TT

This morning I arrived at work to find the only airworthy (Existing) Do 24 TT parked at the airport.

Usual question - did any one do a kit of the 24?

I know Matchbox did an 18 ( I have searched the net) but no sign of a 24.
This is a wierd looking beast , in service with the Spanish A/F ASR service until the 70’s (built in 44) and now flying on the Philipines register

HML has one in 1/48 resin that costs a boatload of cash, FM has a 1/48 injection on the future release list and Italeri did one in 1/72. You are lucky to get to see the surviver in person.

Swanny
When last I saw her , she was on jacks doing gear retraction tests.
She may be here for some time!

It looks really strange with the turbo props when compared to the piston engined sister ship that I saw at Hendon 10 years ago

Thats cool. If you can, get some pics. The only thing unusual here at Majors is another Breguet Atlantique that arrived yesterday (61+03). The RAF Sentinel R.1 is on the ramp at the far end getting ready for air tests sometime this week. Hopefuly I’ll be able to get some pics of these two.

She left just before I went to lunch.
I got some pics in fairly poor light and here they are
