Door trim

I could not find this in the search engine so please pardon a repost.

I am somewhat new to modeling and have yet to fine a proper way to paint the door trim, meaning the edge around the door or pillor usally in silver or black that the windows go up to.

The part that say the very edge of the body around the windshield.

Any advice, thanks in advance.

Thanks for the website. I just placed a large order. I thought there was a way to paint these edges, but I have had no luck getting it perfect.

The secrets to using Bare-Metal foil are to take your time, use a round toothpick to smooth it in place, and use a sharp blade with light pressure to trim it. After you trim, go around the edges with the toothpick. If it comes out bad, you can peel it off and try again. If you have problems, ask on the auto forum and I’m sure you’ll get help. Also, store the unused foil in a sealed baggy. Humidity changes can cause the backing material to expand and shrink and make cracks in the foil. I learned the hard way.
