I used to have a dark blue S10 with the ZR-2 option. Loved that truck! But a woman ran into it and set the airbags off. Insurance company refused to fix it, and wrote it off. Got a full sized truck now and hate it!

Guys, thanks for all the nice comments–I’m really flattered by all of your comments. Sorry it took me so long to get back here; I was racing this weekend at Broome-Tioga. Here’s a shot from the morning–now this is my REAL truck, lol…
It was a beautiful day–cool, but the leaves were all changed, and the trail was great! This is the view of the motocross track in the morning; there was also a moto race going on; I raced the Hare Scramble…
Anyhoo…
Steve, satch, and Jarod, thanks guys! No coke spills, satch–I only drink water or Cytomax when I race! [:P]
Armornut, thank you as well. No full-size for me. They’re too much truck, and too much gas! I’ll take a small motor and bed anyday, although I do wish I had an extended cab…
Thanks, too, *INDY! I only wish I got a model of my “real” bike, but I’m glad you like it!
Jason–an XR350 is a great bike for an enduro! Lots of torque, and a good powerband for snot and rocks! You should go for it! You’re never too old! Thanks for looking in and for the kudos!
Rob and Bill, thanks, guys! Once again, your words are much appreciated!
Greg—thanks too–yup, I’m a two-stroke man 'til they pry my cold, dead fingers off the bars! Easy to work on, and inexpensive! Those four-strokes are killing guys with the costs! I still love the smell of premix in the morning! [:P]
Mike, thanks, friend! And thanks too, dioramator!
Eric, and Manny–thanks for the kind words, friends!
Brian–I’m not sure why you would have “X’s”? It doesn’t seem anyone else is having the problem-could it be a problem with your firewall or pop-up setting?
ps1scw, ha ha–that made me laugh!
Krzysztof, Anthony, and Rick --thank you for your nice comments!
Andy–I only wish I could find adequate figures in 1/25. They’re hard to come by. But I don’t know if I’d even put a figure in, unless it was could match the build’s impact? Glad you enjoyed my toots and work!
Well, I just remembered that somebody’s “Pet Peeve” was when modelers thanked everyone who left a comment…[:-^]…I’m GUILTY! lol! Well, I just want to tell you guys that I sincerely appreciate your endorsement of this build. It’s one of my favorites, to be honest! [:I]
!http://www.vocinelweb.it/faccine/biggrin/11.gifI thought ALL you rock stars had one of those…
Very cool!
Just mount a .50 on the roof and it’ll be perfect[:-,].
Always liked the S-10, even though I’m a Ford guy myself. Nice little diversion Karl.
Syrcon IRONMAN!!!
Fantastic work once again, Doog!
I built my daily driver a while back, and had a great time! I would love to build my other car, alas, nobody makes a kit of a 1968 Thunderbird 429! [:(]
Steve
lol, I USED TO have one–in a 4WD Ford Ranger until I blew the transmission out of it by shifting the $WD wrong somehow…[sigh] It was nice to throw my riding gear back there, and tent, sleeping bags ,etc, when I wouild go sleep overnight at the race…I miss that…
Steve–a .50 cal would do a lot to clear up the traffic…hmm. Could be an idea for real life…lol! Thanks for commenting!
Thanks, Eric, and Steve too! Eric, I’ll drive whatever gets me there; Ford, Nissan, Toyota, or Chevy. I’m actually considering an “upgrade” to a Toyota Tacoma soon. All the recent trucks have too-thirsty of motors in them!
Speaking of a thirsty motor, Steve–wow, a Thunderbird, huh? Cool!
TONY–“SYRCON Ironman”? lol, that is if SMJModeler doesn’t beat me to it! That’ll be my third time, if I’m successful–do I get another award for that? ha ha! Thanks for the vote of confidence! [:D]
Oh your right Man, that one looks really realistic
Not to mention what you used for glas?
Really sweet build you had there. Really well realisticly weathered! I like it! But I don’t get how that one strap over the steer holds the bike (if the model was real)?
Regarding the .50 cal… Here’s something better. Altough a comic about wargaming (Flames Of War, to be exact) it is just too true:
-Lasse [:D]
Maybe instead of mounting a .50 cal on the roof because its illegal in New York but legal in most states like ol’ Indiana, install a gun rack in the back of your cab and hang one of your quitars instead of guns! [:D]
doog,
I had a feeling you doing something! It was to quite for you and I thought maybe you were going to surprise us and that you did.
You definitely excel in all areas. Very well done!
Where is the “Beverage” cooler?
Thanks, guys! [:D]
Lasse, I used thin, clear styrene plastic for the rear window. I cut it out and fitted it, added strips for the window retaining strips, and painted it in Tamiya Smoke and dipped it in Future. (don’t tell anybody that last part!!)
Andy–lol, I could never fit a gun rack in the back–my head just about butts up against the rear window!
IBuild48–thanks, buddy! A beverage cooler would be a good idea! Idea for my next project!
Very nice indeed [bow]. Best regards.
José.
I page through for thr first time in weeks and find this?
Who ya tryin’ to kid there Doog?
Put that 'zuki inna back of your blinged out rockstar Escy and then post some pics!!! [:D]
That looks remarkable, we’ll make a car guy out of you yet Karl.
Isn’t it neat when you can build a replica of your own ride without a whole lot of scratchbuilding?
doog, SWEET!
I’ve been thinking about doing a model of our jeep, maybe I’ve gotten a boot in the derrier…
even though I’m a Ford guy myself. Nice little diversion Karl.
Same here Eric. [:D]
Karl, nice job my friend. [tup]
Very well done, Karl! First I thought it was 1:35 scale but then I saw you mentioned 1:25. I’d love to get the truck (any make & model) in 1:35. I have a plan to install Zu-23-2 guns on one.
Thanks, Jose!! [:D]
Thanks, too, Wayne! Are you a “car guy” yourself?! I never knew! [:I] lol! Yeah, it was cool to reproduce my own rustbacket!
Thanks too, Russ, and of course, Mike!
Nice to see you here, Phaisal! Thank you for your compliment! [:)]
I do believe that there are some 1/35 “Technicals” (If that’s what they call them?) with MG’s or the like in them. Rick Lawler did a fantastic job on one here a while back. You might be able to find it in the Search feature?
It would be cool to see one done by a major model manufacturer!
That looks remarkable, we’ll make a car guy out of you yet Karl.
