Doing your own panel lines -- can't even imagine doing it

How on earth do you make your own panel lines? I mean, they have to be so straight, and the surfaces are shaped in such a way that I can’t even imagine how you do it.

So, how do you do it? What’s the technigue? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Larry,

Check out Swanny’s page on scribing panel lines… ALL the questions can be answered here. [:)]

Thanks a lot Frank – I’ll check it out.

Larry I was of the same opinion as yourself.

But once you know the secret of Dymo tape and a little practise ans patience, it all becomes easy.

Swanny’s site is definitely the bible of panel scribing.

Dymo tape here too… and RLM 66[;)]

Black wolf ( one of the members here ) posted a link to his article using a jeweller file to scribe pannel lines. Its here in this forum somewhere , sorry i cant remember where, (Try the seach option )Or you could make a post and ask him. …Peter.!

I use a box-cutter/stanley knive (depends on which side of the atlantic you are).
These are heavy, so they give you a lot of stability an controle. You don’t have to push the knive into the plastic, so you will not get “tramlines”.
