I would like to say that we modelers need a new updated 1/32 Bf 110. I just think the 70’s revell kit is highly out-dated to today’s standards. Just look at the new trupeter 1/32 Me 262! That kit is a nice one! I still need to get one…but what if we had a Bf 110 kit like that?
While they’re at it a new Mosquito, Beaufighter, P47 and Tiffy wouldn’t go astray. It’s like they refuse to make a good model in 1/32 if the plane was over a certain weight.
We actually need several 1/32 scale Bf 110s, they should start us out right with a C/D model before releasing the G variants. I hope your GREAT IDEA results in some kits in 2006. That would make it a happy new year indeed!!!
Yes that would indeed and the whole variants idea is a good one. A kit for a Bf-110C-E and all options availible for each one inbetween. Then a kit for the Bf-110F-G would go greatly too!
Anybody know where I need to go to get this Idea going?
there is some logic to this thought of yours although there any many modelers that would like it, the various companies marketing people
realise that the work and exp involved ain’t worth it
i mean most people have storage restrictions and just the mosquito or the beaufighter alone will take up 1/2 of a shelf and there are maybe more that would not buy it
You are definitely hitting the nail on the head with this one. I think that some of the others that are mentioned would be a great addition to anybodys collection. I have a definite soft spot for the 110, but, I have grown to adore the 410 more. Eventhough both A/C during the war were underpowered against the single engined fighters. The massive firepower comming from the front end of those A/C was a mixture of 15, 20, and 30 MM cannons!!
I have seen resin kits but, I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on one of those kits…
