i have searched and searched. i have tried injection and vacuform. i have even gone looking on ebay. but i cannot find any kits of the b-18 other than the execuform one. and only the individuals at avusk seem to list it. please help this broken down no luck modeler find this subject.
Sorry, joe. I did some google-ing and i could’t find any non-execuform kits out there. the closest i found was a kitbashed B-18 made from a DC-3 and (you guessed it) the execuform B-18. I’ll keep looking, buddy! [:)]
steve i am afraid my friend we have a fruitless search ahead. there is one bright spot. the b-18 was a hybrid of the dc-2 and -3. so if nothing else we can kitbash one.
Maybe you guys should try to get in touch with the Academy people. After all, they have released some real gems over the last few years that are roughly in the same neighborhood (B-17, B-29, Catalina, KC-97 etc.). ALso, Maquette might be interested because they just released a model of the Boeing model 307 airliner. According to Hannants this is based on the old Frog B-17 kit, but still… Or maybe the MPM folks are interested, or some vacform manufacturer? I’m afraid it’s not very likely this one will come out as a mainstream model from Taiyagawa… so get in touch with the smaller firms. Who knows?
ok after some time of trying to figure out how to get ahold of the companies. i must say geez this is more difficult than i thought. i cant find a link for maquette and the academy one is not accessable. mpm is another i cant find. help anyone. anyone.
