Does anyone here use the Iwata sprint Jet compressor?

and if so, what ‘aftermarket’ regulator/moisture trap/psi gauge could i get that would fit it. And/or what type of fittings would i need?

Is that Iwata an auto-on compressor that comes on when you push the airbrush trigger?

Sometimes a regulator can affect that auto-on system.

Maybe some of you with a compressor like this can help him out better?

I am not familiar with this compressor, I am only familiar with my Badger Million Air and Jun-Air compressors. Sorry. [%-)]

Greetings,

I have the Smartjet jet which is the Sprintjet with an auto shutoff. If you just got yours, you probably have an air bleed regulator which is not a true regulator. I was having problems with mine. Did a little research which led me to Coast airbrush. They sell the Iwata line and they sent me a regulator and fittings which attached to my moisture trap. Solved the problem I was having and gave me the ability to dial in exact pressure settings. Hope this helps.

I have the Sprint Jet and basically it is a pretty good compressor. The best part is that it is quiet. What I don’t like is the so called pressure regulator that has been mentioned as part of the moisture trap. It is not real user friendly when it comes to changing pressure settings but someone has already suggested a fix for this issue.

Yeah, i got a fix for it too myself… im getting a whole new compressor !! LOL
