Does anyone have the Italeri Me 323 in 1/72? (Parts question)

This topic is just to find anyone who has this kit, because I have a question concerning it. So dig out all those unbuilt kits, and if you do have it, stick around. I’ll either put the real question out there as soon as I find someone who has this kit, or e-mail them it.

Sorry for being so cryptic, but I can easily explain if you absolutly need an explanation.

Lucien, Yes I have one sitting on my “to be built shelf”. Let me know what you need and I will be glad to help. You can post your question here or e-mail me at bigfoot4401@hotmail.com

I’ll e-mail this to you also, just in case you don’t see it here, but here goes-

I’m in the middle of a huge project, a Ju 290Z. (Think He 111Z, only bigger. See sig.) The thing is an aircraft this large would more than likely be fitted with RATO packs to help it get off the ground.

(Like these on the Huma Ju 287)

Unfortunatly the Revell Germany Ju 290 kits don’t come with these, and as far as I know they are not offered as a seperate kit.

This is where you come in.

If the online review I read is correct, your Me 323 kit comes with eight of these.

If you would be willing to give me some (dare I say all?..) of them, it would be greatly, greatly appreciated. The kit can be built without them, so it’s not like you would be sacrificing an entire kit just for my sake. All I can say- Beggers can’t be choosers.

Whaddaya think? If you’d be interested, e-mail me at chaos_13_42@yahoo.com or just post a reply here.

Thanks much!

Yes I have these parts, but I need to think about it for a bit and figure out how I want to build this beast. I will let you know.

I built an Italeri Me 323 some years ago, but it has now gone the way of all flesh. I think the wreck may still be in a box in the garage, and the RATO bottles may be in the spares box. I’ll check them out, and get back to you if I can find them.

Have you thought about a couple of podded pairs of Jumo 004s, a la B-36H? As well as helping on take-off, they could also be used for a bit of extra over-target speed. They would be cheaply available as part of the Revell Germany Me. 262.

Chris.

Thanks both of you. The use of Jumos on the Ju 290Z is a very interesting, something I will defenitly consider. I will be sure to check back on this topic. [;)]

I have the Kit and the bottles are yours if you want them. Just email me an address. my user name is my email. Good Luck. Send me pics when you’re done.
p.s., What is that many-engined beast in your signature [8-][:D][:D][:D]

Cool! now I don’t have to decide: to RATO, or not to RATO[:D][:p][^]

Thanks a lot, pavlvs! And [#welcome] to the boards! An e-mail with my address has been sent. I really appreciate it. Thank you. [bow]

Good luck with that 323 bigfoot. Make sure and update us as soon as you start building it!

Talking about the me-323 I´ve forgot the instruction sheet of this italeri big giant, I´ll appreciate if anybody could send me a e-copy of it to fbianch@fi.uba.ar

I can scan it for you this weekend, but it will be a big file so I hope your e-mail account has lots of space.
