I’m sure someone will correct me if i’m wrong but I’ve seen one in either a Revell or Monogram box.

Yup, it’s the same one. Theirs is the B-52d, if you want the G or the H model, you’ll have to look for AMT Ertl kits. But I believe that these are no longer in production. Also, the Revellogram kits are considerred to be superieur to those from AMT Ertl.

AMT/Etrl makes the B-52G and B-52H, quality is about the same with their KC-135 series kits. The molding isn’t as crisp as Hasegawa and there may be some fit issues (my KC-135R fuselage was a little twisted and warped), but in the end you get a decent B-52.

I got one of the Monogram 1/72 B-52’s (forget what designation) for my birthday in 1978… I remember it being HUGE and very well detailed. No room for beast like that anymore…[:(]

i can answer this question! the b-52 special fsm was the last one i baught, (i’m on a low budget) monogram(revell) and amt ertl.

I’ve got one of each. The secret to displaying them is to hang them from the ceiling, unless you have a really low ceiling. The Monogram buff even has (had?) eyelets on top of the fuselage and wings to do this. Make sure you hang them from a joist and do use one those ornamental plant hooks to do it. This requires a bit of effort to do, but in the end there are no kamikaze B-52s’. I almost lost a cat that way a few years ago when another buff pulled free. That cat refused to even enter the room after that. The problems with the wings on the AMTs isnt an issue when you hang them like this and it even looks decent.

I wonder if we’ll be seeing AmTech reissue and upgrade the AMT BUFF kits.

I bought two 1/72s this week from EBAY one is the G model from amt with two hound dog missiles on the wings. The other is just sort of plane its from advent models. I already had a monogram which you can built the A thru F models The big difference readily noticeable is the H models have eight feet chopped off the tail

Just heard that Amtech is reissuing the B-52-H with mods to the wing boxes. not for sure of the list price.
