Do they make a CF-18?

Anyone know where I can find a CF-18 kit, or an F-18 kit with optional Canadian markings? I’m open to scale.

I’ve seen 1/32 Hasegawa CF-18 in Canada( I barely remember the is 1/72 as well). It might be the old 1980’s USN F-18 with Canadian decals. I don’t always seen CF-18 in US, therefore the CF-18 might mainly be found in Canadian stores for Canadian market.

I’ve got the Hasegawa 1/72 F/A-18 “Cag Bird” It has Canadian markings along with four Navy and a single Marine. It’s packed in a box right now or I would give you the particulars.

Hasegawa made CF-18 specific kits in both 1/48 and 1/72. Most recently was a 1/48 kit featuring special markings for the 50th anniversary of CFB Cold Lake.

Italeri has 1/48 and 1/72 Hornet kits with Canadian Markings, these kits are also available from Testors.

Dragon made a 1/144 CF-18 some years ago.

If you’re really wanting a Canadian Hornet, the best source for aftermarket decals for Canadian subjects I know of is Arrow Graphics, they have many Canadian Hornet decal sheets to choose from. Leading Edge also has a good selection of Canadian aircraft decals, including Hornets. It may be worth your while to buy a good hornet kit and buy an aftermarket decal set for it.

The Academy 1/32 F/A-18C is set up to build a Candian Hornet. You’ll only have to buy some extra decals for it.

For aftermarket decals Leading Edge make pretty well every special edition CF-188 (actual CDN designation) paint scheme ever done as well as the “Balkan Rats” markings for aircraft out of Aviano.
