Do I paint in halves or wholes?

I am currently building the MRC version of the UH-1C huey heavy hog model and I am almost done,I will be modeling it with all the doors open, but I am confused as to whether or not to paint the fuselage in halves before the model is done or do I paint it after everything is assembled? If I paint it after it’s put together, how do I keep all the paint out of the areas it’s not supposed to be in? If I paint it before I glue it, then how do I fill the join lines between the halves without messing up the paint? This is the only thing stopping me from completion.

I’ve found it easier to paint after assembly is completed . sometimes the masking is a pain ,but its wort the time . Leave off the props amd paint them seperately .

I use paper towels put in the holes to mask. I’ve heard soft foam works REALLY well, the kind that’s spongy. Tape can be used to mask off windows.

Paint the insides and cockpit as you build the sub assemblies. Glue the interior into the fusalage. When the fusalage sides go together fill and sand the seams. Add on any additional parts to the outside of the fusaluge. Tape off and mask all glass and openings to the interior. I like tamiyas masking tape but most kinds will work. Paint the exterior. When you have finished with the various external colors, remove the tape. wait a day or so and decal it.
