Hello All,
Here’s my attempt at a Panzer IV. I built it out of the box. Tried to show some battle damage on the front fenders and left side skirts.
No national insignia[:O], not sure why I didn’t put it on [%-)]
Any and all comments, criticisms or questions are welcome (and expected[swg]
Did notice the crooked track on the right side, so I tried to straighten it out. Think it looks better.

Great besides the insignias, but that’s ok. It still looks great.
Excellent photos, and a nice build. It’s very nice, but a wash around the bolts and other details would pop them out more.

I just use several shades of brown (sort of blend them as they are applied )paint and apply it where I want rust.
Before the paint dries completely I use browns and oranges of chalks and brush it over the paint.
Sometimes it doesn’t come out right, so I take a brush lightly moistened with thinner and brush over the paint / chalk and add a bit more chalk.
It’s not an exact science, but it doesn’t take much to experiment a bit and get the look you want. It’s easier than I’ve made it sound. Funny statement coming from a guy who can’t do washes [:I]. I use washes on the tracks, but when it comes to the vehicle, well, what can I say? [D)]

oops bend … most side skirt is bended in action … but nvm …is very nice already …
