hers my pak 40 it took me a year to comlpete, it was missing some thing so i put it on a base now iam trying to do the fugures LOL.

I like it alot! Nice work! [Y] If there is a room for improvement, I would add lighter tone of brown to some of mud so it won’t look too uniformed. I agree… the tree is my favorite.

Not bad so far. Some ammo boxes and as you said,some figures and you will be off to a nice Dio…[Y]

If the ground is that ‘soft’, and if you are not going to display any figures, then I’d at least press in some boot prints here and there too.

its soft if you are as heavy as a towable gun i wouldnt evan know how to add foot prints the paper macha is dry so is the spackle.

and yes they are going to be figures and ammo and boxes on the base.

i have no idea y it posted 3 times. ok so this turd is done i think i added to much stuff its a bit busy to me.

You didn’t add too much stuff - that part looks good. The only thing that sticks out to me is that the ground is supposed to be so wet that the gun left those deep ruts, yet the men and the ammo is clean as a whistle.

The figures and the mud look GREAT! [Y] Overall it is a great diomara… little more mud would be great like the guys have mentioned.

Just an observation, but it just seems that the gun is too exposed. It should be more concealed with foliage or something. Remember, this was an ambush weapon and if a tank came along, the gun could easily be seen…and toasted. [;)]

I like the figures.

TIgerman is right, this was, ideally, an ambush weapon. However, I’ve seen some pics of them operating in pretty exposed positions, so I don’t think that is a complete ‘show-stopper’.

As far as the mud goes - just take the paint color you used for the mud and hit the troops boots, the edges of their greatcoats, ‘mush’ a little onto their knees and the lower trouser legs. Do the same on the boxes and other stuff lying on the ground.

Overall, a really good job, by the way. I probably didn’t say that as clearly as I should have with my first post, but I do think you did well!
