As I will be doing this kit shortly, can anyone give me a few pointers or tips? Are there any aftermarket parts I should pick up?Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks

The kit is supposedly really nice, but you might want to hunt up an aftermarket barrel, preferably with the muzzle break cast right on – check to see if Eduard makes one specifically for the kit.
Also, the vast majority of these KTs had zimmerit (I think there may have been a few dragged out and used in the bitter end that didn’t have it, but I don’t recall without my Tigers in Combat handy). If you don’t want to do it with putty, consider using one of the AM zimm sets, I think the Atak set actually gives you a replacement turret!
And of course there’s always other AM stuff – PE detail parts and worable treads. I’d highly recommend the WWII Productions treads for the KT – they are easy to build, are light, sag perfectly and are not overscale thick, like the Friul treads are.
Or just build it out of the box! [(-D] One thing the kit really does need is the zimm though. The rest of the stuff is just monkeying around.
Larry is correct. There were very few made and my best guess is that they all had the zim.
I think that you should airbrush it with some black then some silver also dirty it up. Maybe you should get some figures to go with it.
