Thanks Al, you’re right…! I need to get some better lighting in my workshop. I didn’t realize it looked as uneven as it does, even when photographing it outside. That’s why I like to show pics of my work like this…having someone removed from the situation see things that you miss due to “tunnel vision” developed from working too close to a project.

Not being an “Armor Modeler”, it’s nice to know I’m heading down the correct algorithm as far as technique, etc…For those who are interested, the groundwork is Durham’s Water Putty (Home Depot, $7.99 for a 1 pound can.). I’ll never use Celluclay again after finding out about this stuff! I mixed in a little RLM 79 for color, and dumped some static grass on it while still a little wet. So simple, even I figured it out! Glad you all liked the pics!
