I have a small dilema. [banghead][oops] One of my four legged furry friends has walked off with the assistant drivers hatch for my Jagdtiger. Does anyone have and extra laying around or any ideas on how to replace it? I realize that this may be a simple task to complete, I just need a little bit of a push in the right direction.

Oops! I’ve been fortunate in that regards. It’s probably around the home somewhere, I guess it’s hiding. Of course the moment you order another or make one, you’ll find it. Just last week I found a piece that I thought was gone forever, only to discover it after I was looking for another piece that I’ve now lost.
BTW, I’ve got the same kit, saving it for when I’m retired. LOL How’s the build going?
My guess is that the four legged furry friend was a feline, was it not? I was changing the brake shoes on my mountian bike when my cat came up and snatched one up in his mouth and ran off with it. Strange little animals…
Sorry I can’t help with the part. Shouldn’t be too hard to scratch build if you have to go that route. Just a mirror image of the one you have left.
Yes the criminal in question is a cat. The hard part is we have two of them so it is hard to say which one took it and what they did with it. This has happened before but it always has been a piece that you could live without. I will continue to build it and hope to find the piece in question. Maybe the guilty party will come forward. [swg]
As for the build, it has been great. Test fit the pieces first and see if there is any clean up needed and go from there. The only problem I am having is deciding how to paint it.
If you have any problems getting your part, maybe someone could make a resin copy for you.
Two things you need to do:
I’d post on missing-lynx and ask if anyone has a spare one lying around. Check other sites that have active swapping forums.
Introduce your furry friend to a rolled up newspaper. Ok I’m kidding on that one (…not really…) [:p]
If this hatch is the same as the king tiger hatch, I’ve got a couple laying around. If so I’ll try to remove them and your welcomed to it. Are the hatches the same?
I would love to swat the fur balls with a rolled up news paper. The only problem with that is that the wife gets upset and the only ones getting a good nights sleep are the cats.

I do believe that the hatches are the same but not one hundred percet sure on that.
Oh Yeah, by the way, the king tigers are Tamiya. I’ll try to get them lose and let you know. Their is two pictures of the @ the link below. I got them lose. Let me know if you want them.
They look like the right ones for the Jagdtiger. Maybe some differences between the two but looks close enough to me.

Thanks for the help Matt. i will be so happy once this kit is finished. I have had numerous problems with the four legged furballs taking stuff and knocking stuff down. Some how or another they figure out how to get into the room where my work area is.
Glad to help. Hopefully they will fit pretty good. I’ve got two wiener dogs patrol the backyard. If they can eat it, then it’s usually safe.
