And what a great kit it appears to be ! You were right, DJ.
I stopped in at one of my LHSs, and there it was on the shelf, and cheap, too (2,000 yen, or $18 USD).
It looks great in the box! Nice recessed panel lines, sharp detail, no flash. Even a little piece of foam tape on the fuselage to protect a little antenna! Way to go, Revell Germany.
Now, once I get the next 3 or 4 armor projects I have lined up finished, it’s Rafale time!
Can’t wait to see you tackling that beauty, Brian…! It’s just that I’m not really into 1/48, if not I’d have bought it too… I still have a 1/2 completed Rafale A (the demonstrator) from Heller (1/48), rescued from a kid who used way too much glue… Maybe you’ll give me the courage to get it out again…!
The Rafale is one of the most interesting modern fighter aircraft out there, and the LeClerc is one the most interesting modern tanks, in my opinion.
They sure are making some cool-looking stuff!
I agree J-Hulk, the Rafale is pretty cool looking. [8D]
I was just having some fun as jokes about the French have become very popular here is the states since the war in Iraq started. [:D]
Yes, I seem to recall something about “Freedom Fries” and Freedom Toast" being served in congressional cafeterias![:D]
We’re all friends, so it’s cool![8D]
But man, this Rafale is a niiiiice kit. The only Revell Germany kit I’ve built in a while was the Hindenburg, which was nice but a little tricky.
This Rafale looks very sweet in the box!
I hope it goes together as smooth as it looks![:)]
