Jeffl, Why not wait until Jan 15 and join us in the Sherman family group build. It would be great to have a father/son team joining us in the group build.

I enjoy 1/72 scale kits. There are some superb ones on the market made by Revell. The Sherman series is well represented and one of the best 1/72 scale Shermans has just be re-released by Italeri. It is an M4A1 Sherman that is a former Esci kit.

Have fun with it.

Welcome to small scale AFVs, Jeffl…! I built that kit a long while ago and I had a great time with it. Post pics, when you can.

welcome 2 FSM, jeffl!
howdy & best of luck w/ ur build from another ‘braille scale’ modeler !
1/72 is just so much fun…
just b extra careful & hold the little pieces down when cutting 'em off the sprues or they might take flight, never 2 b seen again !!! [:)]

so, r u gonna wait 4 the Sherman family group build ?

Good luck on that little Sherman. I just built on myself not long ago. I made it Japanese too. [4:-)] Have fun with it, but let me give you a heads-up: You’ll need to tweak the lower hull a bit, since the top and bottom have difficulty joining when it’s time to put them together. Test fit it before you try to glue it. [;)]

It’s great to see more small scale modelers joining in! Welcome to the world of Braille Scale! [:D][tup]

…1/72 sherm. --gotta get some tweezers…a bunch of toothpicks & piece of stry-foam to paint the bow-gee’z (as told by one of the brothers…saw the pic / love the idea)…and set up the mag-ni-fi-ing glass…i washed all the plastic in soap n wa-wa…to get off any production oil…jeffl

Just started building again myself. I am actually finishing up on my 1/72 M2 & I can say that this scale is really fun to build. I used to do 1/35 armor & I still have some kits around but I decided to shelve them for the meantime & try this scale.[:)]
