Discovered a new way to sneak a model in under the radar... ;)

So, a few weeks ago I was messing around on Amazon looking at armor kits. I had put a few in my Shopping Cart so I could look at what the shipping would be. Well, I removed all of them from my cart, but I forgot one. It was the Trumpeter 1/35 STRV-103C (Swedish S-tank). So here is the texting conversation I had with my wife yesterday.

ME: Hey, there’s a tank model from my wish list in the Amazon shopping cart. Are u buying me a model? If you are, thank you so much for the surprise. Love u!

HER: Dunno what ur talking about. Are u sure u didn’t forget and do it in ur sleep? Might as well get it if it’s in there anyway. Love u too.

So, needless to say, the kit is on it’s way.

Feel free to use my helpful hint next time you have your eye on something. LOL

Chris

Sneaky, or maybe simply: covert [H]–but obviously effective! Congratulations on the “finesse!”

LOL! That won’t work with my wife.

Yer playin with fire, dude. If we suddenly stop hearing from you in here, I guess we all know what happened. Nice knowin ya.

Nice job dirkpitt [Y][B]

My wife usually leaves for work before our postal delivery. I only order a few times a year from Megahobby to save on shipping so I tend to have infrequent but large orders. The one day in months that the postal guy is a little early is when he delivers that order (i.e. large box) from Megahobby. BUSTED!!!

If you get something in the post, remember to take the date-stamp Franking from the packet before you claim ‘I’ve had that ages’…[;)]

Thanks for the tip,but I don’t need to sneak models into my house [:D]

The next conversation will be (trust me), “I’ve been wanting that diamond solitare ring, since you have all those models now…” It won’t be cheap.

I just tell my girlfriend it was something I pre-ordered 6 months ago and act surprised. That’s only for the expensive ones i.e., more than $50.00 Most of the time she’s fine with it and is glad it’s on kits and not random females at bars!

[:O] Hmm Females in bars are rarely random… [;)]

I envisage the day where the working man can man-up and not have to sneak a model purchased with the shared finances.

Until then, I will continue to do side jobs for hobby money and buy what I want when I want. The irony here is, I am too cheap to buy anything anyway and rarely do.

lol, that system will guarantee that you always have $$ on hand to buy something you really want though.

The only way I could sneek a kit in the house would be to sneek another woman in at the same time.

My wife would be soooo mad about the other woman that I could toss the new kit on the stash and pretend that nothing happened.

But then the shooting starts!!!

Will the hospital let me work on kits…

If I make it to a hospital…

It will never work and this is why…

LMAO!!!

Maybe this could apply to sneaking some kits past my parents? Speaking of that… I gotta get a M1A2 SEP I found… But I can’t get it past my parents… And I have no money… Yet. Hmmm…

Strange, but that’s exactly the same logic I use when my wife heads out to buy a new pair of shoes. And I have to say there’s a strong resemblance to how I look at the end there–big sharp wolfish teeth and all–although I manage to keep the bow in my hair. It was easier two months ago when my hair was past my shoulders, but hey, I do what I can.

The logic in that cartoon was flawless…

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Someone owes me a new keyboard.
