Can anyone tell me what type of haftrack is used in the dirty dozen at in the last scene, i can not tell.
this might be a cool idea: too have a group build where the subject is anything, as long as it is dirty. do your best to make it weathered, and or covered in mud. Sound like any fun? useing models from other group builds is acceptable.
I want to say a Famo 18t halftrack, not sure I’m right though. Another G.B.? It’s sounds intriquing, but I’ll have to defer. Should get some interest though.
Don’t know about the movie. If this gets going and you allow builds from other GB’s then I could join this one. How muddy are we talking here??? I already planned on putting lots of red dirt and dust on my Vietnam T-54 in the Russian GB.
Thats cool. There aren’t many techique group builds going on so this is a good one. You should edit the topic title to reflect this is a possible group build now. Something like “Dirty Dozen GB: Armor Weathering”. Just a suggestion.
i like muddy, dirty and weathered to death, it may not reflect how they are in real life but its how i imagine a tank to be in my mind [:)] i might be up for it
Sounds cool. Can I be a morale officer? Not many of my current builds will be very dirty, however I model a fair bit of Russian front stuff, so…
Cheers,
John
Don’t you believe it Biffa, even modern AFV’s that are not involved in active service attract mud, dirt, grease, petrol and every other type of stain like nothing else on earth. Dirt and dust particularly get into every crevice and crack inside and out of the vehicle. Muddy or dirty boots stomp all over the place, so muddy, dirty and weathered to death is spot on. BTW, don’t forget the dried mud caked on to the running gear which you will always see in real life but rarely in a model.
The badge does look really cool, but I think we’ll have to size it down. I think for this build I’m going for a Sdkfz 251 in the russian spring. mmmmm this is going to be fun!
