The uniforms are too clean, the boots are too shiny, and the soles of the boots show no wear. It looks like they just came off of the parade field.
Where is the director, cameraman and script girl?
Could be wrong but that French looking helmet is a Russian 1936 version whilst the others are 1940 types. Another variant that could be worn is the Russian version of the Adrian helmet still worn in 1940. As a point of interest the Russians also wore the British pattern helmets in some capacity.[8-)]

My major complaint is that Phaisal posted TWENTY photos when three or four could have easily shown this diorama quite adequately! The dial-up internet guys won’t even try to load this post!
