very interesting and dramatic. nice to see some pacific ww2 also!! [:D]
I like this. Nice work.
My one comment would be that the title implies that this is set at Tarawa, however the terrain doesn’t look quite right for Tarawa… too rocky…
[#ditto]that looks more like iwo jima, but none the less looks really coool
not even iwo jima…iwo jima really was pretty much devoid of plant life, especially after the naval shellings. but i like it. that guy swinging his rifle back looks pretty good
“Bloody Atoll” could be referring to a myriad of battlesites in the Pacific. Well done and thanks for bringing the PTO in the mix.
Thanks so much for all kind comments and compliments! I really appreciate them! For this kit I told AI to build it as shown on the box art, but he had another idea and built it differently. I think he did it very well, the combat was even more fierce and more interacting than designed by Master Box.
subfixer, what’s the “PTO” that you mentioned?. Is it “Pacific Theatre Operation” (my guess)?
MM,
Yes, PTO is the ‘Pacific Theatre of Operations’.
By the way, I did fail to say (and I apologize) that I do really like the layout of this. AI’s choice to add the terrain feature really does add some intensity to the scene.
Thanks for the answer, bbrowniii! That was a close guess of mine. Thanks also for your compliments on the dio layout.
Very nice build, I like it!
Thanks for your kind words!
