How I did it;First I want to say thanks to Lobbie for it was his method I used.This is a MONOGRAM 1/48 scale Cat,boy is it big.Now for the weathering that was done.1.I used a can of cheap wal-mart spray paint,sliver and sprayed the beast with a good coat.2.I paint this bird with MM flat black and sprayed two thick coats.Then I thined down the paint to apply the thrid coat.So it got 4 coats of paint.Next get serveal pieces of sand paper,from coruse to very fine.Use the coruse first and just start scratching hard,to get the paint chipping effect,scratch hard in small areas it will chip.Then its a natuarl progression from there.As you can see the resuilts of how it looks.
Very nice! I really like your weathered cat. I think I’m in a bit of a minority because I like heavily weathered aircraft. One of my projects for next year is a heavily weathered M6A1 Seiran after a picture I saw on the Internet.

WOW…That is great. you’re weathering is wonderful. The black paint was notorius for flaking off and not lasting long in field conditions. I think you represented it just right.
