Different colour putties.....

Sorry about the spelling, us Canucks like to put extra U’s all over the place[:o)][;)].
Anyway, another dumb question from the newbie…
What is the difference in the different colours of Squadron filler putty? There is a green, a white and I have a grey. Is there any difference between these and if there is, what is it?
Thanks,
Rich [8D]

I don’t think there is any real difference in the formulation of the putties, as their grain and densities appear very similar. So, I choose the putty based on contrast with what I am puttying, the green for white styrene and so on. Whatever provides the best visibility for working the putty.

LOL [:p]
I’m a dweeb! I bought the grey because it was the same colour as the model’s plastic. I think I’ll get some white.
BTW, what can be used to thin the putty?
Thanks,

Rubbing alcohol usually works to thin squadron’s putties.

Acetone based nail polish remover (NOT PURE ACETONE…PURE ACETONE WILL MELT PLASTIC) works to thin Squadron putties. Acetone based nail polish remover can also be used to remove dried Squadron putty. It’s sometimes and alternative to sanding.
