Diferences between Ju-87G-1 and G-2

I know that Academy makes a G-1 and Italeri a G-2… both in 1/72, they look practically the same… but as one is G-1 and the other is G-2, I want to know the diferences between this two versions… maybe equipment, engine… I don’t know…

[:)] According to what I have read the difference is that the G-1 was a conversion of D - 3 airframes. The G - 2 was a conversion of D - 5 airframes and the removal of the fixed wing armament. Hopes this helps.
Cheers,
Eric

And the difference between a D-3 & the D-5? The D-5 had a greater wingspan.
The G-1’s had limited use, they were more of an experiment to see if the tankbuster idea worked, according to an article I have. They were first used in 1943. The D-5 to G-2 conversions therefore came later, and numbered 174 in all. Hans Ulrich Rudel was credited with destroying over 500 soviet vehicles using a Ju 87G.
